Trailer Mechanic

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is a growing powerhouse in the Trucking Industry. RSS has been in business for over 32 years, and has nearly 400 team members located in 17 states. We are currently looking to expand our team in the Morris, IL area.

We are looking for a Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic with strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. The candidate should be self-motivated, safety-minded, enjoy mobile service truck work, and be able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.

• $23-$28/hour or commensurate with experience.
• Quarterly Safety & Performance Bonuses after 90 days.
• Monday-Friday - DAYS!
• Paid holidays and vacation time.

• Overtime after 40 hours. Bi-weekly paychecks.

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including but not limited to ABS, frame, body, doors, tires and electrical systems.
• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.

• Trailer Mechanic experience required.
• Outdoor, mobile service truck position.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
