ONEOK is seeking a Mechanic
- Intermediate to support mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation activities within the Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) segment in Morris, Illinois. This role will work on fixed and rotating equipment across NGL assets, with a primary focus on pumps, motors, valves, electrical equipment, and related mechanical systems. The mechanic will help ensure safe, reliable operations by servicing equipment, ordering or securing parts and supplies, maintaining accurate work logs and service records, and responding to operational or emergency needs as required.
This position is based out of Morris, IL and will support NGL assets within that region. Most travel is expected to be day trips, with limited overnight travel. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with participation in a 24-hour call-out/on-call rotation that is generally two weeks on and one week off.
Ideal candidates will bring hands-on mechanical aptitude and the ability to service, maintain, and repair equipment in a safe and reliable manner. While prior oil and gas experience is helpful, candidates with transferable mechanical experience, such as automotive, autobody, industrial, agricultural, or equipment maintenance backgrounds, may be strong fits. The team is looking for a self-starter who is driven, willing to learn, able to work collaboratively, and comfortable communicating information and instructions in the field.
Candidates must have an active driver's license and a clean driving record. This role may include DOT-covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline, and requires the ability to remain alert, follow safety procedures, and respond immediately to hazardous or emergency conditions. This opportunity is targeted at the intermediate level, though ONEOK may consider associate or senior-level candidates based on experience and business need.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at various locations including, but not limited to: internal combustion, diesel, natural gas powered engines and electrical drivers; pumps, generators, turbines, valves, electrical equipment, and well equipment.
- Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair structural, mechanical, electrical and/or well equipment. Conduct performance analyses, including emissions testing.
- Order and/or secure parts and supplies.
- Maintain, prepare and/or interpret reports and/or records including, but not limited to: work logs and service orders; inspection reports; engine/equipment maintenance and repair records; pressure readings; material and supply orders; engine and compressor oil analysis reports.
- Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles.

Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
Education
