Service Administrator
Sunbelt Rentals strives to be the customer's first choice in the equipment rental industry, offering a wide fleet and a knowledgeable staff. As a Service Administrator you will assist the Service Manager with customer relations and maintaining DOT compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintains truck files and DOT compliance for both Rental and Non‑Rental Fleet
- Schedules and coordinates preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on both Rental and Non‑Rental Fleet (trucks)
- Performs duties as Safety Coordinator in regard to the DOT Fleet
- Conducts weekly inspections of the DOT Fleet
- Monitors loading and unloading of equipment on the Sunbelt Yard
- Conducts DOS with drivers on a monthly basis
- Assists the Service Manager in the warranty recovery process
- Reviews closed work orders to ensure warranty opportunities are not missed
- Catalogs warranty parts for validation upon manufacturer request
- Maintains compliance with manufacturer‑issued service bulletins
- Assists the Service Manager in customer damage matters
- Prepares damage letters and sends them to customers
- Maintains photographic and physical evidence related to customer damage
- Directs the supply of parts to shop mechanics, other branches, and customers
- Screens and prioritizes service calls to meet customer needs
- Ensures equipment is available as required
- Orders parts to maintain adequate supplies
- Works with equipment vendors to learn the maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment added to inventory
$20.89 – $28.72 per hour
Additional CompensationStarting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
