Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full-Time Warehouse Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Morris, Illinois.

• Hourly Pay: $21.75 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Tuesday and Friday–Saturday, 5:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow performance measurement guidelines and contract standards.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and truck loading/unloading.
• Maintain day-to-day paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Team player with ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance.
• Works independently with minimal supervision and high initiative.
• Demonstrates high accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Capability to work using health and safety methods.
• Available for flexible scheduling on various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
