Forklift Operator Warehouse 1st Shift

Position

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Morris, Illinois.

• Hourly Pay: $21.75 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  First Shift Wednesday – Saturday 5:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, and stage products for loading and unloading of trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in the warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team and a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision and possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Capacity to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Works using health and safety methods and is available for flexible scheduling on various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
