Staff Accountant; Hybrid

Title: Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Location: Morristown, NJ

Salary: $90-100k plus bonus

Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote WFH

Client is seeking a Big 4 or top Regional Public Accountant for a Staff Accountant role offering a mix of accounting and finance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of public accounting experience in any industry.

• Contribute to the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review investment and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with the accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist with client billing activities and related documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Public Accounting experience a plus but not required.
• CPA not required; interest in pursuing further accounting or finance education is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to Quick Books or similar systems is helpful but not required.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
