Eskola, LLC's Morristown, Tennessee branch is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our growing Commercial Roofing & Waterproofing team. This position is ideal for an individual looking to build a long‑term career in construction project management. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, the Junior Project Manager will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial roofing and waterproofing projects from award through closeout.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and possesses strong communication skills. This role offers hands‑on experience in commercial construction while providing opportunities for professional growth within a respected industry leader.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers with the planning, execution, and successful completion of commercial roofing & waterproofing projects.
- Coordinate project schedules, subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and submittals.
- Track project budgets, labor costs, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Assist with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, closeout documents, and daily reports.
- Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project success.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes when necessary.
- Help identify and resolve project challenges before they impact schedule or budget.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality standards, customer expectations, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Support project closeout by compiling warranties, closeout manuals, and final documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records using company software and management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field or equivalent construction experience.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in commercial construction, roofing, waterproofing, or a related industry.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a dependable personal vehicle to travel to job sites as required.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and capable of safely using ladders and other elevated access equipment.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Dataforma, Foundation, or similar platforms.
- OSHA 10 hour or 30 hour card (or willingness to obtain)
- Understanding of construction scheduling and budgeting principles.
- First Aid, CPR & AED certification
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
