Meeting & Events Coordinator – Morristown, NJAbout the Role

As a CBRE Events Coordinator, you will assist the events team with a variety of tasks to ensure successful event experiences. You will lead the Concierge Desk, handling billing, guest services, and serving as backup support to building security and mail/loading dock services. You will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the facility, greeting them warmly, recording service requests, and supporting event execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact at the facility, greeting visitors and recording service requests.
  • Log and track requests through status updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the event team.
  • Deliver world‑class customer service to all individuals on site.
  • Build and maintain a local business recommendation database (transportation, dining, entertainment).
  • Follow property‑specific security and emergency procedures, notifying appropriate parties to ensure safety.
  • Accommodate inquiries or complaints from clients, co‑workers, and supervisors, providing professional solutions.
  • Resolve problems and develop approaches to meet team objectives.
  • Support meetings and events as needed, coordinating guest services, transportation, signage, displays, special requirements, printing, event security, and facility logistics.
  • Assist with conference room turnover and midday room refresh.
  • Collect and inventory event supplies, alerting the team when new orders are required.
  • Escalate potential issues and concerns appropriately.
  • Follow defined procedures and processes under close supervision, suggesting improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • In‑depth understanding of processes, procedures, and systems within the role and related functions.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to select and explain solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
  • Physical capacity to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift/carry loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow standard work routines and maintain quality standards.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range: $55,000 – $60,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and more. Eligible employees can pursue internal advancement after six months.
