Overview
Atlantic Health is seeking a full-time Cardiologist for the Medical Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program in Morristown, New Jersey. The program has been recognized as a center of excellence by the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association since 2014 and is supported by a team that includes a surgeon with expertise in myectomy, interventional cardiologists with expertise in alcohol septal ablation, experts in cardiac MRI, cardiac CT and advanced echocardiography, and a dedicated Genetics Counselor.
The program operates on the Morristown Medical Center campus within the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute and the Atlantic Center for Research. This role entails outpatient care in Morristown and inpatient consult responsibilities at Morristown Medical Center. The cardiologist should be able to interpret echocardiograms and perform conventional and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
Research interest and experience, including experience with myosin inhibitors, is highly desirable. Eligible for academic appointment at Assistant Professor level or higher.
SalarySalary Range: 550,000–650,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives.
ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program with a multidisciplinary team. Provide outpatient and inpatient cardiology care, participate in programmatic and clinical operations, interpret echocardiograms, and perform conventional and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Collaborate with surgeons, interventional cardiologists, imaging specialists, and genetics counselors to support patient care and program growth. Support research activities and participate in academic duties as eligible.
Qualifications- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
- Board Certified in Echocardiography
- Eligible for New Jersey License
- 5 years of experience required
