Adjunct Clinical FacultyPart Time – Morristown, NJ, US
We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered nursing professional committed to student success to join our Nursing Department as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty. Candidates should be comfortable working in a mission-based university environment and possess a passion for mentoring future nurses in clinical practice settings. The successful candidate will provide direct supervision, instruction, and evaluation of nursing students in clinical environments while promoting safe, evidence-based, and compassionate patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise and instruct nursing students in clinical settings across assigned healthcare agencies.
- Facilitate the integration of classroom knowledge into clinical practice.
- Evaluate student clinical performance and provide timely feedback.
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and adherence to ethical nursing standards.
- Collaborate with course coordinators and full-time faculty regarding student progress and course expectations.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, attendance, and evaluation records.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, healthcare agency requirements, and state board regulations.
- Participate in faculty orientation and required training activities.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution preferred
- Current unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of three years recent clinical nursing experience in the relevant specialty area.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to assigned clinical sites.
- Previous clinical teaching or precepting experience.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Proficiency with learning management systems and electronic documentation systems.
- Specialty certification in area of clinical expertise:
Critical Care, Maternity, Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics
