Preschool Teachers Assistant
We are looking for experienced assistant teachers to join our private programs teaching team for the school year. Teachers are contracted for 10 months from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:45pm. Staff will have the option to add to their salary by working before/after care and/or summer camp.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the lead teacher in a Jewish preschool program that serves students 18 months to PreK
- Responsible for the safety and security of the students at all times
- Assist with toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing in accordance with licensing standards
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Assist in making daily observations
- Gain knowledge of the preschool curriculum and Judaic content provided
- Interact and play with children in a positive calm manner
- Attend staff development, meetings and other required trainings for needed professional development hours
- Follow the state licensing and grow NJ kid expectations
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- CDA or bachelor's in education preferred
- First Aid /CPR certified, if not willing to get it within 90 days of employment
- At least 1 year experience working in preschool/childcare setting
- Experience with Judaic knowledge is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay:
From $28,000 to $31,000(September to June)
