Morristown Beard School seeks a dynamic and dedicated full-time English teacher for grades 9-12 for the academic year. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a passion for the English language, a keen interest in literature from around the world, expertise in teaching writing, and the ability to inspire a wide variety of student learners. - Demonstrate expertise in teaching literary analysis as well as academic and creative writing
- Be willing to teach a range of English courses in grades 9-12
- Differentiate instruction based on feedback, needs, and learning levels
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate and communicate readily with colleagues
- Communicate effectively with students and families about student progress
- Identify and support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs
- Engage actively in school life by participating in clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities
- Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree preferred
- Rotate through supervisory duties, such as detention, dismissal, study hall, etc.
