Process Engineer
Our growing client in Morris County is adding an experienced Process Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing team and play a key role in driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and enhance manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and safety
- Analyze current workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and introduce sustainable solutions
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams
- Conduct process audits, analyze performance data, and recommend corrective actions
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and other methodologies to optimize operations
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
- Implement automation and technology upgrades to streamline processes
- Partner with vendors for equipment selection, installation, and validation
- Support compliance initiatives and conduct risk assessments
- Train production teams on new processes, equipment, and procedures
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the value stream
- Communicate and adjust work orders as needed
- Support environmental compliance efforts aligned with ISO 14001:2015
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a hands on production environment
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis
- Understanding of relevant regulatory and safety standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Word, CAD software, and related tools
