- Lead and mentor junior staff (1+ engineers) on technical design and project tasks
- Lead the planning, administration, and design of structural bridge projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
- Conduct detailed structural analysis and design for various bridge projects.
- Develop and review engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel structures, and other materials.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Utilize engineering software packages such as STAAD, PennDOT ABLRFD, L-Pile, and MathCAD for project delivery.
- Ensure timely delivery of PS&E contract documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across various geographic locations.
- Conduct quality control and assurance activities to maintain high standards in project execution.
- Develop quantities and cost estimates, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Utilize CADD to develop detailed bridge plans and specifications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, code requirements, and client objectives.
- Conduct/lead field work oversight, including surveys, data collection, construction observation, and support (RFIs, submittals, change orders)
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (M.S. a plus)
- EIT required
- PE license preferred (but not required) or ability to obtain within 1 year after starting
- 4–8 years of experience as a bridge engineer, including design, plan preparation, structural analysis, design, quantity calculation, and construction support services.
- Proficiency with AASHTO LRFD, Micro Station (ORD a plus)/InRoads, and structural design software (LARS, STAAD, LEAP, etc.)
- Experience with NJDOT, NJTA, and PANYNJ projects
- Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills
- Ability to work in team setting
- Ability to independently and accurately complete engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete and steel structures; familiarity with timber and masonry design is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (including MS Project).
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment

The pay range for this position in New Jersey is $95,000–$115,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition, we offer restricted stock units, a full benefits package (medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), PTO), and strong professional development opportunities.
