Financial Manager
Our client is a global leader in manufacturing safety products serving the healthcare, pharmaceutical, hospitality, and food service industries. They are seeking a Controller to join their leadership team and oversee all financial operations, ensuring their continued growth and operational excellence.
The Controller will be responsible for directing the organization’s financial and accounting functions. This includes strategic financial planning, accurate and timely reporting, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and hands‑on oversight of day‑to‑day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry experience, a strong grasp of job cost accounting, and the ability to lead a high‑performing finance team in a fast‑paced environment.
This role requires on‑site presence at the company’s office.
Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, job cost accounting, and fixed assets
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all reports
- Develop, maintain, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for multiple projects and divisions
- Provide financial leadership to project managers, estimating teams, and senior management
- Monitor and report on cash flow, capital expenditures, and overall financial health of the company
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, bonding requirements, and industry‑specific reporting standards
- Coordinate audits and work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
- Implement process improvements and financial systems enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Mentor and develop a skilled accounting/finance team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred)
- Min. 10‑15 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a controller role within a middle‑market organization
- In‑depth knowledge of accounting practices with ability to train and coach members of accounting team
- Strong working knowledge of distributor ERP/accounting software
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills
- High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to accuracy
- Base Salary $150,000 – $170,000 (based on experience)
