Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams, follows established protocols, verifies identity, educates patients, ensures safety, and participates in quality assurance and performance improvement.
- Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, records all testing information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner, reports critical results promptly and accurately, and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicates with physicians, patients, and other center personnel in a pleasant, informative manner; makes recommendations to supervisor on related duties, policies, and procedures.
- Enhances teamwork environment by showing motivation, enthusiasm, acceptance of responsibility, personal accountability, problem‑solving in difficult situations, and seeking assistance when appropriate; mentors and develops others.
- Maintains work area clean and orderly, cleans patient areas after each use, assists with lab opening and closing procedures, cleans equipment according to infection control policies, and notifies supervisor of stocking needs or problems.
- Identifies own learning needs, responds to department needs, attends in‑services, lab and departmental meetings, strives to increase proficiency, and suggests new, efficient techniques, procedures, and processes.
Echo Sonographer III – includes skills of Sonographer level 1 + 2 + Protocol Directed*/Research Protocols; consistently takes initiative to develop professionally; positive attitude; increased engagement; shift from internal focus to external team/department/org.; demonstrates HRO culture by identifying patient safety issues; seeks out opportunities to learn new technology and equipment; expands knowledge and skills.
Vascular Tech. III – Vascular Tech. 1 + 2 & Graft surveillance, Arterial Duplex, and/or Pseudo
A. and/or Fistula; consistently takes initiative to develop professionally; positive attitude; increased engagement; shift from internal focus to external team/department/org.; demonstrates HRO culture by identifying patient safety issues; seeks out opportunities to learn new technology and equipment; expands knowledge and skills.
- Registry through CCI or ARDMS.
- Training/Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. - Echo Sonographer III – Registered Sonographer.
- Vascular Tech. III – RVT/ RVS.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written skills; basic proficiency with computer system.
- Minimum Salary (Hourly Rate): 33.33
- Maximum Salary (Hourly Rate): 58.67
- Assignment Category:
Full‑time - Hours per Week: 37.5
