Dietitian-Newton Medical Center-Part Time

Principal Accountabilities

• Assess the nutrition status of patients on appropriate biochemical, anthropometric, physical and dietary data.
• Perform nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or family members.
• Maintain quality assurance and evaluate compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines.
• Develop and participate in educational sessions for staff to increase nutritional knowledge and improve patient care.
• Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory agency guidelines and assist in statistical analysis of data and action plans for performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the efforts of department PI projects and clinical nutrition programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).

• Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
• 2-3 years of experience in acute care clinical nutrition or relevant area.
