Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3-5 years of IR or Cardiovascular technology experience, NJ radiographic licensure, and strong neuro and scrub assist skills.
Responsibilities- Work in a special procedures/interventional radiology setting focusing on vascular and neuro-interventional cases
- Schedule is 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 4 days a week (Monday-Friday) with a flexible day off
- On-call required every 4th weekend (Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM) and one evening shift per week (5 PM to 7 AM)
- Must be able to perform both neuro and scrub assist in IR/vascular procedures
- Uses EPIC for charting and Sectra/PACS for imaging
- Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic, vascular, and neuro-interventional cases, including critical case scrubbing
- Operate power injection of iodinated contrast media devices during procedures
- Responsible for groin management post-intervention and maintaining sterile technique
- Positive contribution to a multi-disciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
- Maintain infection prevention measures and set up procedural trays for case loads
- Uses closed loop communication for team interactions
- Must be able to critically think during neuro-interventional and complex cases
- All travelers may work up to one calendar year before a mandatory 30-60 day break is required for re-assignment
- 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with NJ radiographic licensure
- High School diploma, GED, Associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program required
- Active NJ Radiographic license required if applicable
- BLS certification from AHA or equivalent with demonstrated skills in basic life support
- Current ARRT (R) Radiography certification
- Strong knowledge of floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
- Familiarity with EPIC charting required
- Position does not accept local candidates living within 50 miles
