MRI Technologist-Morristown Medical Center- Per Diem OP

Principal Accountabilities

• Positions patient on examining table & places specified coil near area of interest.
• Demonstrates use of microphone for communication.
• Enters data such as patient history, anatomical area, orientation, entry position into MRI computer.
• Keys commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers.
• Observes patient safety via window & TV screen.
• Views images on display to ensure quality.
• Keys in data on camera to photograph images.
• Alerts staff entering magnet room about metal danger.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Associate's degree in Radiology or graduate of accredited radiology program.
• State RT License for ARRT candidates through NJDEP, or MR Certified through ARMRIT.
• BLS through AHA.
