Product Manager, Data Platform

Our enterprise Data and Technology team is seeking a driven and analytical Product Manager, Data Platform to join our technical product team. You will orchestrate the product lifecycle of an internal data platform in close collaboration with engineering leads and other stakeholders through the definition of business requirements, coordination with technical and non-technical teams, and facilitation of a robust pipeline for internal use cases.

You will deliver on our product roadmap to support current and future business needs. We are looking for someone passionate about data management, engineering, and analytics with strong product management experience to join our growing technical product team.

• Become an expert in your product areas, acting as the go-to person for stakeholders before engaging the technical data and software engineering teams.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and other product teams to scope new or refine existing platform features and data capabilities that increase business value, adoption, and user engagement.
• Draft clear and concise business requirements and technical product documentation.
• Interface with internal Zelis engineering and product teams to manage the intake process for new requests.
• Understand how product areas link to the wider roadmap and identify dependencies and opportunities for growth.
• Define key performance indicators to evaluate products.
• Be the voice of the customer in technical discussions and facilitate the relationship between application teams and technical data teams for your product areas.
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders including engineering, architecture, operations, product, marketing, partnerships, and customer success.
• Collaborate with technical product analysts to support engineering teams through the delivery lifecycle.

• 3+ years of technical product management experience with demonstrated ability to define product scope and deliver alongside technical teams.
• Ability to listen to diverse audiences, identify requirements, gaps, and barriers, and translate needs into product features.
• Technical depth to collaborate with software and data engineers on data visualizations, data models, ETLs, and data infrastructure deployment.
• Strong communication skills, with clear verbal and written communication.
• Strong understanding of Data Management, Data Engineering, ETLs, Cloud Engineering, and Product Analytics concepts; experience with SQL, Python, R, Spark, AWS, Azure, Airflow, Snowflake, Power
  
  BI.
• Understanding of Data Privacy, Data Governance, Data Masking, and Roles Based Access Controls.
• Well-versed in Agile frameworks and product tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience collecting and collating use cases and managing intake processes for new features.
• Open to candidates with B2B or B2C experience and outside the healthcare industry; intellectually curious, self-starter, with data product experience.
