Associate Director, Advanced Analytics – US Gen Meds & Vaccines

The Associate Director, Advanced Analytics – US Gen Meds & Vaccines will serve as the analytics lead for the US General Medicines & Vaccines portfolio, responsible for predictive analytics, marketing effectiveness measurement, and budget optimization across multiple therapeutic areas using claims data, internal Salesforce and digital media data. The role formats AI/ML models and marketing mix methodologies to generate actionable insights that drive promotional effectiveness and inform strategic resource allocation decisions.
It is embedded within the GTMC NA Organization, within the Insights & Analytics pillar, and reports to the Director, Advanced Analytics – US Gen Meds & Vaccines.
- Partner with Senior Leadership, Brand, and Commercial teams to understand business priorities and provide strategic guidance and ad‑hoc analytical support as the Advanced Analytics subject matter expert.
- Lead an offshore team, onboarding them and collaborating on projects.
- Collaborate with Sanofi Data Management and global digital teams to ensure robust data infrastructure and quality.
- Validate Salesforce execution, marketing, and media data in analytical models and ensure consistency of business logic across all deliverables.
- Assess media investment scenarios via optimizer tools that leverage response curve outputs of marketing mix models.
- Conduct Turing impact analysis with the global digital team.
- Lead upskilling efforts and workshops with brand, media teams, and agency partners.
- Apply data science techniques, including machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI, to generate predictive and prescriptive insights.
- Clean, aggregate, and organize data from disparate sources using SQL and/or Python.
- Design, execute, and interpret analyses of large healthcare datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Create dashboards and analytical tools to synthesize information and enable data‑driven decisions.
- Automate processes using AI tools to accelerate work efficiency.
- Provide overarching project direction and translate key business questions into analytical frameworks.
- Lead Marketing Mix Modeling analyses across brands and deliver budget optimization recommendations.
- Collaborate with other analytical teams on predictive modeling, segmentation, patient journey prediction, and campaign impact measurement.
- Maintain and develop internal marketing effectiveness models and self‑service analytical tools.
- Facilitate the dissemination of project outputs to business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 7+ years of Commercial Analytics, Forecasting, Sales Operations, or Consulting experience, including 2+ years of direct advanced analytics using ML models.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Python, R, SAS, or VBA.
- Experience with analytical platforms such as Snowflake, Jupyter Notebook, SAS Studio, or SQL developers.
- Experience with pharmaceutical sales & claims data (IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo), SP data, Salesforce execution data, and digital data.
- Strong quantitative skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency with marketing mix modeling, Bayesian statistics, propensity score matching, regression, clustering, segmentation, driver analyses, and A/B testing.
- Understanding of sales, marketing, and media data including agencies.
- Familiarity with Power
BI, Tableau, and other BI tools. - High proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills with experience managing cross‑functional projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment and influence decisions.
- Master’s Degree or MBA.
- Strong communication skills with executive presence.
- Certification in Data Science or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
- Experience with Claude Code and Cursor.
- Experience with Marketing Mix Modeling within the US Pharmaceutical space.
- Experience in General Medicines and/or Vaccines, including Diabetes, Flu, and/or RSV.
