Business Analyst - Visualization Analyst
As a Client Business Analyst focusing on Visualization, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between complex data and actionable business insights. This role heavily emphasizes Business Intelligence (BI) Administration, Architecture, and Development. You will be responsible for the end-to-end health of our data visualization ecosystem—from building robust pipelines to monitoring dashboard performance and ensuring code transparency across Google’s repositories.

Key ResponsibilitiesBI Administration & Development
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of BI reports, dashboards, data sources, data pipelines, and workflows.
- Maintenance & Optimization: Handle ongoing maintenance issues, conduct performance tuning, and execute rigorous testing protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor recurring BI processes to guarantee the absolute accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of all data outputs.
- Pipeline Development: Act as a BI Architect by building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and workflows.
- Data Integration: Ensure the seamless and efficient flow of data from underlying database engines directly into end-user BI reports and dashboards.
- Code Review: Review, edit, and optimize code to maintain high technical standards.
- Version Control & Transparency: Submit and check-in code to Google’s code repository (Google3) to ensure company-wide visibility, transparency, and collaboration.
You will utilize a robust suite of internal and industry-standard tools, including:
- Scripting & Pipelines: Google
SQL, Python, PLX Scripts, PLX Workflows and Pipelines, Octopus Data Schemes. - Project Management & Operations: Buganizer, Cases, Symphony, Soundboard, Eyes On Glass, Chrome Remote Desktop, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics), OR a Master’s degree in a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in the following areas:
- SQL & Python: Advanced querying, scripting, and data manipulation.
- Data Visualization: Designing intuitive, highly functional dashboards.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborating cross-functionally and translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Data Storytelling: Communicating complex data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- A demonstrated track record of success in using data to solve complex business problems and measurably improve outcomes.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing time-sensitive projects.
