Senior Director, Commercial Modernization – U.S. General Medicines
Location:

This role leads the digital modernization roadmap across all therapeutic areas, aligning the NA General medicines Business Unit with GTMC and Digital teams to create cross‑TA implementation plans with clear commercial outcomes.
MainResponsibilities
- Serve as the NA General Medicines BU sponsor and value owner for execution of the digital modernization roadmap across all U.S. General Medicines therapeutic areas, coordinating with NA GTMC and Digital teams.
- Drive integrated brand planning by aligning Brands, Digital, and GTMC on a unified digital agenda across all Gen Med therapeutic areas and transform fragmented initiatives into a coordinated portfolio.
- Provide commercial insights and business‑impact analyses to inform digital strategy and prioritization, ensuring BU operational challenges, growth opportunities, and customer needs are reflected.
- Prioritize digital initiatives, focusing resources on highest‑impact opportunities that align with core business objectives.
- Own business readiness and change‑management strategy for digital initiatives, ensuring stakeholder alignment and sustainable adoption across U.S. General Medicines.
- Shape the executive business narrative on AI and digital transformation, partnering with Head of Digital & NA GTMC to communicate progress and demonstrate measurable impact.
- Lead business‑strategy definition for AI & digital adoption, driving business‑case development and tailored learning pathways in collaboration with Sanofi Learning institutes.
- Translate enterprise digital strategy into actionable, BU‑specific execution plans with clear accountability for commercial outcomes.
- Lead business‑process transformation and automation opportunities from a BU perspective, defining success criteria for quarterly releases from GTMC and Digital.
- Drive adoption and sustained utilization of digital tools and AI capabilities, ensuring teams are equipped to leverage technology for enhanced performance.
- Identify function‑specific AI/digital use cases and create role‑based application opportunities that translate upskilling programs into commercial value.
- Establish adoption metrics and feedback loops to measure capability maturity and inform continuous improvement.
- Represent General Medicines as the senior business stakeholder in defining requirements and validating commercial outcomes for enterprise solutions.
- Own the end‑to‑end adoption journey for digital solutions, including training, change‑management, performance monitoring, and iterative optimization.
- Develop and present business cases, providing commercial perspective on speed, scalability, cost, and long‑term value for build–buy–partner decisions.
- Support assessment of AI and advanced digital solutions through a commercial lens, defining success criteria and readiness requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison for digital execution, translating business needs into clear, prioritized requirements and owning delivery accountability within the BU.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Medical, Commercial, PSS, Marketing, Digital, GTMC, Legal, and external partners to ensure integrated planning, seamless execution, and adoption.
- Leverage experience from adjacent industries to bring external best practices into BU‑specific digital transformation efforts.
- Own the feedback loop between business users and digital teams, capturing insights on solution performance and business impact to inform future roadmap priorities.
- Establish and monitor adoption metrics and business outcome KPIs, providing regular reporting to BU leadership on digital maturity and value realization.
