Data Engineer
Remote
Compensation: $50 - $70 per hour
ABOUTTHE ROLE
Our client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and scale a modern enterprise data warehouse supporting Global Brand & Digital, Commercial, Analytics, and Revenue Growth Management initiatives. In this contract, remote role, you will play a critical part in establishing a centralized Microsoft Fabric-based data ecosystem, consolidating data from multiple sources, streamlining reporting, and enabling advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable data solutions that empower business stakeholders and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Design, build, and optimize enterprise data infrastructure leveraging Microsoft Fabric
- Establish and maintain centralized data warehouse solutions to support commercial, CRM, marketing, and analytics use cases
- Lead data migration, modernization, and refactoring efforts for existing data assets, pipelines, and reporting solutions
- Develop scalable ingestion, transformation, and harmonization processes for structured and unstructured data sources
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources, including CRM platforms, retail data providers, eCommerce channels, and commercial systems
- Design and implement data models, schemas, and governance standards that support enterprise reporting and analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements and define appropriate data solutions
- Support advanced analytics and AI initiatives by enabling robust, scalable data ecosystems
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance within the data warehouse environment
- Document data architecture, processes, and best practices for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related disciplines
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions within Microsoft Fabric
- Strong expertise in enterprise data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and cloud-based data platforms
- Proven experience building scalable data pipelines and integrating data from multiple enterprise systems
- Ability to independently evaluate business and technical requirements and define appropriate solutions
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects forward with minimal oversight and direction
- Experience with in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Retail, or Commercial organizations (preferred)
- Familiarity with customer, sales, marketing, and CRM data ecosystems (preferred)
- Experience supporting Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives and related analytics solutions (preferred)
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms and forecasting solutions, including Fractal or similar technologies (preferred)
- Experience integrating and modeling Salesforce data (preferred)
- Experience supporting global organizations and large-scale analytics environments (preferred)
- Knowledge of modern reporting and visualization platforms that consume enterprise warehouse data (preferred)
