Sponsored Projects Office Manager, Sponsored Projects (Pre-award) Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Reporting to the Director, Sponsored Projects Office, leads and supervises all team members performing pre-award activities for the sponsored projects research portfolio.
- Responsible for heading up administrative and budgetary reviews of clinical trials until Final Authorization to Proceed is granted.
- Oversees a team that ensures clinical trial agreements, study budgets, and timelines are accurately developed and aligned with institutional, sponsor, and compliance standards.
- Applies cost rules to various budget types.
- Collaborates with SPO team members, investigators, research teams, and sponsors during these processes.
- Prepares quality reports.
- Works closely with ACR colleagues to create a smooth transition to post-award activity.
- Must have the ability to lead and motivate a team of pre-award clinical trial professionals.
- Engagement driven.
- Observe, evaluate, and address performance.
