Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant, Cardiology - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Responsible for collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and other medical staff to evaluate, plan, and implement patient assessments and follow-ups. Directly involved in patient care through medical consultation, research, treatments, and education. Specializes in Cardiology and recommends appropriate course of treatment through medical diagnosis while working closely with the physicians.

• Supervises treatments, obtains medical records, evaluates patients, orders tests or scans, diagnoses diseases, and prescribes medications and prescriptions.
• Provides medical consultation on both invasive and non‑invasive cardiology procedures.
• Specializes in cardiology and provides subject matter expertise and treatment courses on heart health and wellness.
• Performs medical procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Partners with physicians in developing treatment plans and advises physicians on changes in a patient’s condition.
• Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Nurse Practitioner Program or related field.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner Program or related field.
