NJPNI Clinical Support Staff may consist of MA’s, LPN’s and RN’s. Staff members are responsible for maintaining all licenses as required by state and federal laws. Clinical staff members are responsible for supporting physicians and patients in all aspects of care. All NJPNI staff members are encouraged to participate in continuing education opportunities. We are rapidly growing and expanding and are seeking to hire multiple CMAs for both Full‑time and Part‑time positions.

For Full‑time shifts, we are looking to hire for the following ranges: 8 am‑4 pm, 9 am‑5 pm, and 10 am‑6 pm.

• Verifies safeguards and secures patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Obtains all messages from the answering service each morning and returns patient calls, notifying physicians of relevant messages.
• Checks examination rooms every morning for patient safety and comfort issues; if there are problems with heating/cooling or other issues, notifies management immediately; cleans rooms between patients.
• Ensures examination rooms are fully stocked with medical supplies; notifies clinical manager if supplies need to be replenished.
• Opens and prepares physician office notes for the day.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests—taking blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and temperature; reports patient history summary.
• Communicates with patients and their families as directed and requested by physicians.
• Coordinates and reviews physicians’ and clinical staff schedules for the upcoming two weeks at the end of each week; notifies physicians and staff if scheduling errors exist.
• Obtains primary‑care physician’s notes, imaging studies and reports, and other relevant documentation prior to the patient’s visit.
• Answers patient phone calls regarding treatment and coordination of care; asks doctor or APN for further information when required.
• Assists in scheduling as needed by making arrangements with insurance, verifying times with patients, and preparing charts, pre‑admission and consent forms.
• Performs clinical support for all physicians and NPs as assigned.
• Provides cross‑coverage at the front desk reception as needed.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following local, state, and federal standards and protocols.
• Keeps equipment and examination rooms in good order by following operating instructions; troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventive maintenance; calls management when needs arise.
• Maintains current knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA.
• Assists physicians and NPs with procedures.
• Performs and administers patient testing, including but not limited to cognitive and genetic testing.
• Provides translation as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• For Part‑time position: previous experience with Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) preferred.
• For Full‑time position: previous experience in Pediatric Neurology and Pediatric Neurosurgery preferred.
