Cardiac Cath Lab at Morristown Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager to join one of the most advanced cardiovascular programs in the nation.
This is a rare opportunity to lead operations in New Jersey's highest-volume Cath Lab, featuring:
- Cutting-edge interventional procedures
- A robust regional cardiogenic shock program
- One of the largest structural heart programs in the country
- The largest electrophysiology (EP) program in the state
We are expanding from 5 Cardiac Cath Labs and 4 EP Labs to 7 Cardiac Cath Labs and 6 EP Labs to meet growing demand and continue delivering exceptional care.
Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities of Nurse Manager- Direct and oversee daily operations of the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, ensuring optimal workflow and patient throughput.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and institutional healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of Cath and EP lab personnel.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
- Develop and manage the labs' operating and capital budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives, including clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, benchmarking, and adoption of best practices in cardiovascular and electrophysiology care.
- Serve as a key liaison with hospital leadership, contributing to strategic planning and service line growth.
- Champion innovation in cardiovascular care, supporting the development and execution of advanced procedures and technologies.
- Support and expand the regional cardiogenic shock and structural heart programs through clinical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Oversee the expansion and integration of new procedure rooms to accommodate growing patient volumes and service offerings.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
License/Certification:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS required
Relevant
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology lab setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures, equipment, and protocols
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex operations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of driving innovation and improving clinical outcomes in high-volume cardiovascular settings
