Job Description
Responsible for creating a working environment that promotes positive employee engagement, adherence to company policies, effective communication, collaboration, innovation, optimal productivity and continuous learning. Directs department operations on a continuous basis and advises management on operational and functional improvement opportunities and monitors, evaluates and follows through on quality and financial indicators, team indicators, case management and utilization.
Principal Accountabilities- Assures systems are in place to ensure appropriate resources and competent staff.
- Manages budget process and ensures budget monitoring processes are in place and develops action plans to address variances.
- Identifies and implements strategies to reduce and control expenses and monitors all aspects of payroll process and follows through as indicated.
- Engages staff in continuously building customer satisfaction for patients, physicians, colleagues, and acts as a community advocate.
- Works with TOC and other post acute providers to provide seamless transition of care.
- Communicates effectively as an advocate to members of the community and promotes organization to public.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, federal rules and regulations, OSHA and TJC standards; participates in preparation and has an active role in survey process as well as state and federal audits.
- Assures staff maintain patient safety and patient satisfaction by prompt follow through on complaints and occurrences.
- Oversee HR functions for team, hiring, disciplinary functions. Assures staff is compliant with agency policies, oversees staff orientation, education and mandatory education.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- 3-5 years of certified home care experience.
Preferred:
- 5 years experience in Nursing or relevant area.
- Supervisory experience.
