Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a hospital in Morristown, NJ, requiring an active NJ RN license and current ACLS and BLS certifications.

• Active NJ RN license (NJ or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
  Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Perform thorough, systematic patient assessments and deliver appropriate nursing care throughout the Labor & Delivery continuum
• Document nursing processes, patient progress, and patient education accurately in the patient's chart
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification
• Maintain patient and family-centered communication in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Candidates who have been on assignment at this facility for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning
