ARMStaffing is hiring experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel and local assignments at top hospitals across the country. Job DescriptionAs an L&D RN, you’ll care for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process. You’ll support families during life‑changing moments while managing high‑risk situations with skill and empathy.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs throughout labor and delivery
- Assist physicians and midwives during childbirth
- Administer medications and IVs, including epidurals and Pitocin
- Educate and support patients and families on birth plans and newborn care
- Manage emergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and fetal monitoring certification preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of obstetric protocols and fetal monitoring interpretation
- Calm, confident decision‑making in fast‑paced, high‑pressure situations
