Atlantic Health System – Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join the inpatient Palliative Care Team at Morristown Medical Center. This role offers an opportunity to demonstrate passion and develop advanced palliative care skills in collaboration with a supportive and knowledgeable team.

Responsibilities

The NP will perform comprehensive health histories, physical assessments, and incorporate holistic aspects of patient care for those with serious illnesses. Responsibilities include accurate and timely documentation and planning for the continuum of care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and symptom management skills and provide services primarily in the inpatient setting, coordinating with primary care providers and specialists.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing is required.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Palliative Care certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical acute care experience preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently.
