Key Responsibilities Quality & Performance Improvement- Lead/coordinate cardiac quality improvement (QI) initiatives aligned with organizational strategic priorities and national benchmarks
- Monitor and report measures, registry outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices
- Support readiness for regulatory and accreditation surveys (Joint Commission, CMS, state agencies)
- Oversee submission and validation of clinical registry data (e.g., NCDR CathPCI, EP, STS, or equivalent)
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in compliance with registry standards
- Establish data auditing processes and corrective action plans as needed
- Serve as the subject matter expert for registry definitions, abstraction, and reporting
- Analyze data trends and benchmark performance against national standards
- Develop dashboards and reports for leadership, medical staff, and quality committees
- Translate data into actionable insights to improve patient outcomes, reduce variation, and optimize care delivery
- Supervise registry abstractors and quality staff as applicable
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making
- Partner with IT, informatics, and clinical leadership to enhance data systems and workflows
- Support program certifications (e.g., Cath Lab Certification, Heart Failure, TAVR)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field required
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse highly preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in healthcare quality, data abstraction, or registry management
- Experience with cardiovascular or specialty registries strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA cycles)
