Key Responsibilities Quality & Performance Improvement
  • Lead/coordinate cardiac quality improvement (QI) initiatives aligned with organizational strategic priorities and national benchmarks
  • Monitor and report measures, registry outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices
  • Support readiness for regulatory and accreditation surveys (Joint Commission, CMS, state agencies)
Data Registry Management
  • Oversee submission and validation of clinical registry data (e.g., NCDR CathPCI, EP, STS, or equivalent)
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in compliance with registry standards
  • Establish data auditing processes and corrective action plans as needed
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for registry definitions, abstraction, and reporting
Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze data trends and benchmark performance against national standards
  • Develop dashboards and reports for leadership, medical staff, and quality committees
  • Translate data into actionable insights to improve patient outcomes, reduce variation, and optimize care delivery
Leadership & Program Development
  • Supervise registry abstractors and quality staff as applicable
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making
  • Partner with IT, informatics, and clinical leadership to enhance data systems and workflows
  • Support program certifications (e.g., Cath Lab Certification, Heart Failure, TAVR)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field required
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse highly preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare quality, data abstraction, or registry management
  • Experience with cardiovascular or specialty registries strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA cycles)
