Job Description
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) to support the Comprehensive Stroke Program. The Neuroscience flagship houses a 29‑bed unit for neuroscience patients and a 10‑bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery.
The Neuroscience Advanced Practice Professional is a member of the neuroscience care team. During the training/education period the professional receives direct attending oversight and education, with the goal of independent review of clinical cases with attending support when needed. Primary responsibility is the care and management of cerebrovascular cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position requires care to be provided Monday through Friday at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center with a mix of primarily inpatient and as needed outpatient clinic responsibility depending on shift assigned.
Qualifications- Master’s degree
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- 3 years of neurology experience preferred
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
