Job DescriptionAtlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Surgery at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. The Department of Surgery utilizes advanced surgical methods and technology to provide outstanding patient care. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients requiring surgical consultation, pre‑operative and post‑operative management under an attending surgeon’s supervision, with or without surgical house staff involvement.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with surgeons, residents, and other healthcare professionals in the assessment and management of surgical patients.
- Provide pre‑operative evaluations, post‑operative follow‑up, and ongoing patient education.
- Coordinate patient care with surgical house staff as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- 1.5 or more years of nursing or relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Strong work ethic, team player, capable of working independently.
