Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to deliver specialized care for neonatal patients. The nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and supporting the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Assess neonatal patients thoroughly, considering all stages of growth and development from infancy to toddler hood.
- Perform direct patient care activities, demonstrating proficient clinical skills specific to neonatal care.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of the patient’s progress, treatments, and education provided.
- Adhere to professional practice standards, policies, and procedures, identifying areas for professional growth.
- Respond professionally and courteously to patients, families, and team members, promoting a respectful and compassionate environment.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of emergency equipment, patient identifiers, and safe transfer techniques, ensuring compliance with national safety goals.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in neonatal or pediatric critical care settings.
- Proficiency in performing assessments and clinical procedures relevant to NICU patients.
- Knowledge of documentation guidelines and ability to maintain detailed patient records.
- Strength in patient education and pre and post-operative assessments.
- NRP certification required; RNC-NIC preferred.
