Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

$2815.20/week –

Job Summary:

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. They ensure a safe, compassionate, and effective birthing experience for patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical and emotional conditions throughout labor and delivery to develop personalized care plans.
• Monitor fetal heart rates, contractions, and vital signs, promptly identifying and responding to any complications.
• Administer medications, including epidurals and analgesics, following physicians’ orders and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate, complete documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in compliance with policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with appropriate state licensing.
• Possess a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or Maternal-Newborn nursing.
• Demonstrate competent assessment skills specific to obstetric care.
• Show proficiency in monitoring fetal and maternal vital signs and managing labor progress.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications; proficiency in emergency response techniques essential.
• Have a strong understanding of labor, delivery, and postpartum protocols and procedures.
