American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Delivery Room position requiring an active NJ or compact RN license and prior L&D experience.

• Work in the Delivery Room unit of a hospital setting
• 12-hour PM shifts scheduled 7p-7a, 3 days per week
• Uses Epic for charting
• Floating to a sister hospital nearby may be required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all stages of growth and development
• Deliver competent clinical care and support emergency procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation, including patient education
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including use of two patient identifiers and safe transfer techniques
• Provide individualized care based on surgical procedure and anesthesia type across the care continuum
• Support timely completion of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate orders for appropriateness
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a break is required before returning to a new assignment
