Position: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

$2815.20/week -

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, ensuring safety, professionalism, and patient satisfaction. Deliver direct patient care supported by thorough assessments, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform systematic and thorough assessments of patients, considering developmental stages from Pediatric to Geriatric.
  • Deliver competent clinical care, including emergency procedures and the use of emergency equipment.
  • Maintain complete, accurate documentation of nursing care, patient progress, and education.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by following policies, identifying areas for growth, and assuming responsibility for patient outcomes.
  • Respond to patients, families, and team members professionally, promoting a patient-centered environment and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Follow safety guidelines, including National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and proper patient transfer techniques.
  • Manage perioperative patient conditions, adapting care to procedures and anesthesia types.
  • Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, ensuring understanding and preparing them for pre- and post-operative care.
  • Support timely completion of pre-admission testing and evaluate orders based on patient and surgical needs.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license required.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
    Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • ACLS and BLS certification required.
  • Demonstrated competency in pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary perioperative team.
