American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Step-Down position requiring at least 1 year of intermediate care/step-down experience and an active NJ or compact license.
Requirements- Active RN license (NJ or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care/Step-Down nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Strong communication and computer skills required
- Medical Step-Down unit within a hospital setting
- PM shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
- Required to work every third weekend
- One summer holiday coverage required
- Floating as needed, including to a nearby sister hospital
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic for charting
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Collaborate with the healthcare team through a Shared Governance model to promote evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Demonstrate the organization's PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence) in daily practice
- Local candidates accepted
- Travelers may stay on assignment up to one year from their initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
