American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a high acuity Stepdown Unit position requiring 1 year of ICU experience and NJ or compact RN licensure.
Details- High acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) setting within a hospital
- 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Floating as needed to units within the facility or sister hospital
- On-call responsibilities required
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Active NJ or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Provide direct patient care across the continuum from pediatric to geriatric populations
- Perform systematic, comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques
- Support pre-operative and postoperative patient assessment and education
- Holiday coverage required for one winter and one summer holiday
- Locals accepted at a different pay rate
