Brewery Representative – Northwestern NJ

We are currently hiring a full‑time Brewery Representative in Northwestern NJ. The ideal candidate must live in Northwestern NJ, preferably Sussex County. The Brewery Representative works autonomously to develop new accounts and maintain current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics.

Please note that although this position is listed as “working remotely”, our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the specified territory to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

• Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio
• Focus on selling products and/or upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores, convenience stores)
• Identify major accounts that are not currently selling BBC products and develop a plan to establish business
• Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point‑of‑sale items to increase visibility of the brand
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts.
• Conduct waitstaff/bartender educations, beer tastings, and evening promotions.
• Work conditions vary day to day due to customer‑facing nature of role.
• May have periodic requirement to work weekends and holidays.
• Occasional travel for meetings and trainings.
• Regular travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalers.

• 1+ years of proven results‑oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry.
• An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.
• Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive continuously to accounts.
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point‑of‑sale items frequently.

• Bachelor’s degree.

Level:
8. Salary range is between $48,000 and $72,000, depending on related experience, skill set and location. This position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
