About The Job
Associate Director, Field Learning & Development Vaccines reports to the Director, Field Learning & Development Vaccines. Based in Morristown, NJ, the Associate Director has responsibility for supporting commercial training and development needs, including strategic planning and implementation of world‑class product training and skill‑based training via eLearning, live meetings, virtual training, and on‑demand training courses with a strong patient, customer, and science focus.

Main Responsibilities- Develop, with the Director FL&D, the FL&D function plan for the Vaccines Business Unit, including disease, product, and customer interaction capabilities training and other trainings for the Vaccines Unit as needed.
- Execute and deploy training experiences on the ground and develop comprehensive strategic and tactical plans to support the short‑ and long‑term objectives of Sales and Marketing.
- Implement and continuously improve work streams including new hire training programs and curriculum, continuing education with ongoing learning programs, advanced training for ongoing learning of product and disease knowledge and customer interaction capabilities, field advisory teams and learning champions, core competency development, classroom training programs, product review board processes, field‑based training programs, key metrics to track impact, integration of sales and marketing materials into training programs, design and delivery of sales training materials for National and Regional Sales Meetings, budget and schedule management, agency partner selection and management, and data & analytics action planning.
- Provide high‑level strategic analysis and planning, managing demands and expectations from multiple internal customers.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Life Sciences, Business, or Adult Learning preferred). MBA is a plus.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or related healthcare experience in sales training/Learning & Development or field sales experience.
- Experience in vaccines; buy & bill is highly preferred.
- Proven communication skills with a well‑developed ability to efficiently communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of stakeholders.
- Ability to influence, collaborate and interact effectively with a senior leadership team and multiple key stakeholders across sales and marketing.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management and effective management of multiple projects/priorities.
- Ensure all training programs are consistent with, and supporting of, company legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- 20‑25% national travel required.
- Training experience strongly preferred.
- Previous first‑line manager experience.
- Experience in the vaccines market.
- Sales launch, vaccine, and reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential to success in this position.
