Your New Role
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, service, repair, and replacement of commercial refrigeration equipment in Oak Ridge, New Jersey, and throughout Northern and Central New Jersey
  • Troubleshoot and repair walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-in coolers, reach-in freezers, and ice machines
  • Complete commercial refrigeration installations and equipment replacements
  • Service commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, heat systems, ductless systems, VAV systems, and VRV systems as needed
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective repair solutions
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate service records and clearly communicate findings with customers and management
  • Deliver professional customer service while representing Climate Care in the field
  • Follow all safety standards, refrigeration regulations, and industry best practices
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency service needs when scheduled

  • 6-10+ years of commercial refrigeration service experience
  • Strong experience troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and replacing commercial refrigeration systems
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems such as rooftop units and split systems is preferred
  • Experience working on walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-in refrigeration equipment, and ice machines
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and mechanical components
  • EPA Type I, II, and III Certification required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage service calls efficiently and maintain professionalism with customers
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials required for the position
  • Ability to work in mechanical rooms, on rooftops, and in commercial environments
  • Vocational training preferred
  • Stable work history demonstrating reliability, accountability, and professionalism
