General Expectations:
The Maintenance Technician position assists in all aspects of equipment readiness and maintenance for plant operations.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Supports Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts through planning and executing the preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment.
  • Attends to breakdowns, diagnoses faults, and oversees equipment improvements and time‑critical repair.
  • Manges spare parts inventory.
  • Oversees continuous monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation through routine inspections.
  • Creates, implements, and maintains a preventative maintenance program of production including inspection of plant equipment and inventory for replenishing parts.
  • Maintains documentation, machine history, and all other appropriate documentation for production equipment, including, if necessary, requesting replacement for any tools or equipment.
  • Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains a wide variety of production and processing machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments (measurement devices, calipers, and micrometers to inspect machine parts).
  • Performs duties including but not limited to welding, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, as well as general knowledge of electrical equipment such as controllers, PLC’s, robotics, servo motors, encoders, electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation usage including reading electrical schematics, and various other aspects of the Maintenance Technical field.
  • Makes recommendations to improve existing PMs to improve effectiveness and updates PMs, modifications including equipment changes.
  • Minimizes downtime of plant equipment through effective use of Electrical/Electronic maintenance skills.
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required
  • Ability to think proactively, properly follow instructions, and complete duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to create and follow a routine maintenance schedule.
  • Electrical experience including but not limited to three‑phase and single‑phase power and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) skills.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and tools – mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and safely using sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including exposure to Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Education and Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • 5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Proven mechanical and electrical aptitude/passion.
