Who We Are

Alpine Tree Service is a high-growth, full-service tree care company serving residential and commercial clients across New Jersey. We operate with a focus on safety, professionalism, accountability, and execution, following ANSI standards and delivering a premium customer experience.

We are building a team of professionals, not just workers.

The Role

The Field Operations & Equipment Supervisor helps coordinate Alpine’s daily field operations and serves as the primary connection between the COO, field leads, field crews, office staff, and customers.

This is not a desk-only supervisory position. You will spend time in the yard and in the field, ensuring crews have the people, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, and information needed to complete each job safely and efficiently.

You will monitor job progress, respond to changing field conditions, help resolve operational issues, and serve as a customer point of contact when questions or follow‑up needs arise. You must be organized, mechanically inclined, comfortable making decisions, and willing to assist crews when needed.

What You’ll Do

As Alpine’s Field Operations & Equipment Supervisor, you will:

  • Assist the COO with coordinating and organizing the daily schedule for multiple field crews.
  • Review upcoming jobs and determine the appropriate crews, equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials required.
  • Review daily routes and visit active job sites to monitor safety, quality, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Clearly communicate daily assignments, expectations, job details, and schedule changes to field leads and crew members.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the COO, field leads, field crews, office staff, and customers.
  • Monitor job progress throughout the day and help resolve scheduling, equipment, customer, and site‑related issues.
  • Respond to urgent field needs and make practical decisions that keep jobs moving without compromising safety or quality.
  • Verify that crews follow company safety procedures, job specifications, property‑protection standards, and operational expectations.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment and promptly report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Help coordinate equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and replacement equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Safely operate basic tree‑care and landscaping equipment, including chainsaws and blowers.
  • Perform or coordinate minor property repairs and restoration resulting from fieldwork, including:
    • Fence repairs
    • Minor driveway and concrete repairs
    • Basic landscaping
    • Grass seeding and lawn restoration
    • Planting and property cleanup
  • Serve as a professional customer point of contact on job sites, addressing questions and coordinating follow‑up when needed.
  • Complete daily reporting for the COO and office team, including job status, delays, equipment issues, property damage, crew concerns, and required follow‑up.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate important information promptly.
  • Support crews in the field when operational needs require additional help.
How We Operate

At Alpine, leadership is demonstrated through actions—not titles. Here is what our core values look like in this role:

Actively Seek Knowledge

You continue learning about field operations, equipment, safety standards, crew development, and better ways to execute our work. You ask questions, accept feedback, and help others improve.

Think Ahead to Solve Problems

You review jobs before crews leave the yard, anticipate equipment and staffing needs, identify potential hazards, and address problems before they disrupt the day.

Be Adaptable

Schedules change. Weather changes. Equipment breaks. Customer needs evolve. You adjust quickly, communicate clearly, and keep operations moving without lowering Alpine’s standards.
