Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking an experienced Per Diem Psychiatrist to provide high‑quality psychiatric services across the hospital on weekends and holidays. This role supports critical behavioral health functions, including Crisis Intervention Services, the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and urgent consults on the Med‑Surg floors. A minimum annual commitment of six (6) weekend days and/or holidays is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide psychiatric coverage for Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) on weekends and holidays, collaborating closely with mental health professionals.
- Deliver psychiatric care for the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit, working as part of an interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, and therapists.
- Conduct urgent psychiatric consultations for medical‑surgical inpatients across the hospital.
- Collaborate with and support the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) as needed.
