Document Control / Project Support Specialist

Location:
Morristown, NJ (Onsite)

This position supports the Document Control team and Project Managers by ensuring accurate, timely, and organized documentation for engineering projects. The role plays a key part in maintaining document standards, coordinating across project teams, and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support document control activities for multiple small projects and assist with medium and large projects as needed
  • Set up documentation workflows and project files in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to establish and maintain document control processes
  • Communicate document system procedures to project teams
  • Coordinate documentation with engineers and project stakeholders
  • Compile and maintain electronic project data books
  • Issue document transmittals to clients and vendors
  • Process and track vendor submittals
  • Package and distribute electronic documents for internal teams, clients, and vendors
  • Monitor document workflows and flag issues or discrepancies
  • Notify appropriate team members of vendor or client troubleshooting issues
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Applicable experience may substitute for education requirement
  • Minimumof 3 years of relevant experience in document control, project coordination, or administrative support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to follow written instructions and established guidelines
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyze information, apply common sense, and make sound decisions
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
