What You'll Do

As an Automotive/Transmission Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while delivering exceptional quality and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance according to Chevrolet and dealership standards
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC components
  • Perform advanced transmission diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds, and replacements
  • Test-drive vehicles and utilize factory diagnostic equipment to identify concerns
  • Complete repairs accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs with Service Advisors
  • Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to obtain necessary components
  • Document all repairs, findings, and procedures accurately
  • Participate in GM manufacturer training and certification programs
  • Stay current on technical service bulletins and emerging vehicle technologies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow OSHA, environmental, and dealership safety standards
Qualifications Required
  • 3-5+ years of professional Automotive Technician experience
  • GM dealership experience required
  • Transmission repair experience required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to consistently produce quality flat-rate hours
