Overview
The Supervisor, Construction Project Management provides oversight, coordination and management of construction project equipment planning and purchasing for diverse and complex construction projects. Oversees all aspects of construction process to ensure project scope completion within a set timeline, specification, and budget. Supervises construction projects and general contractors. Travels to offsite facilities as needed.
CoreJob Duties
- Prepare, supervise, and report all aspects of construction build, including budgeting and planning, for Atlantic Medical Group and select hospital projects.
- Manage services between vendor, architects, and client(s); direct and inspect deliveries and installations of final products.
- Oversee equipment planning with contractor.
- Travel to offsites frequently to inspect installations, job condition, schedule, etc.
- Oversee any miscellaneous end‑user furniture requests for offsite facilities and hospitals.
- Uphold safety and quality of the project; review drawings and contracts; provide input, recommendations, and approval when necessary.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on projects.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for department, especially for offsite projects.
- Prepare drawings for miscellaneous layout change requests or minor construction work performed in‑house and in field.
- Train and supervise construction employees and trades.
- Provide occasional light hands‑on manual labor when needed.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risk factors to ensure construction runs smoothly.
- Establish construction job checklist to keep processes consistent across jobs.
- Coordinate inter‑departmental equipment meetings to identify reuse and new construction needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant work experience; major in Design/Architecture/Construction preferred.
- 3+ years supervising construction projects; must have background in the trades.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle, as travel is part of job.
- Strong communication, organizational, project‑management, and team‑leadership skills.
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office.
- AutoCAD or equivalent software experience.
